It’s the way my favourite little black dress hugs my curves. A certain shade of lipstick. Brand new nylons. Perfect heels. A brand new hair cut. A push up bra. Making a big sale. A smile from a stranger. A really long bubble bath. Pushing myself during a hard work out. Holding hands in public. Singing at the top of my lungs in the car. The perfect pair of jeans. It’s the little things that make me feel great about myself. It’s the little things that make me feel sexy.

Feeling sexy means different things to every woman. Whether it’s clothing, a partner or something completely random while walking down the street. Every woman deserves to feel sexy!

After having two kids I don’t get too many chances to get dressed up and go out on the town. Have long bubble baths. Or sleep in past noon on Sundays. Instead my shirt usually has a dirty hand print on it somewhere. Maybe two. I am lucky to get a shower alone. Or one at all. And sleeping in now means at least making it to 7am. But I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world. Because being a mom is who I am.

Yet even though I don’t always get to brush my hair or get out of my pjs, I still love to wear a little black dress. Sexy heels. And lipstick from time to time. If you know a mom who would love to dig out her favourite dress from the back of the closet, buy some new shoes and get all dolled up, consider buying her a boudoir session for Mother’s Day. Something that will remind her what it’s like to take time for herself. Bring out the sexiness inside of her. And feel like a million bucks. Because all moms deserve to feel special, especially on Mother’s Day!

The way her husband looks at her makes her heart skip a beat. Gives her butterflies. And knocks her off her feet. He makes her feel like the most beautiful woman in the entire world. She loves the way he makes her feel.

For his 30th birthday, Jennifer wanted to share that feeling with her husband. She wanted to say thank you for the confidence he gives her. The way he makes her feel sexy. And special. So her thoughts turned to a boudoir session. A little black book. Something he’d never expect. And something he’d never forget.

V AND B – COUPLE’S BOUDOIR SESSION…(photos by ewan)

She had done a boudoir session before. Two to be exact. One as a gift for herself. And one as a gift for B. But this time she wanted to do something a little bit different. Something for the two of them. V and B wanted to do a boudoir session together.

They talked about it for months. Going back and forth. Yes. No. Yes. No. Every time they were ready to commit one of them backed out last minute. So finally V picked up the phone and made the call. It was time.

V was excited because she’d been in front of the camera before. B didn’t know what to expect. Not that he was shy, but he was definitely a little bit nervous. Able to adapt to any situation he found himself relaxed the minute the shoot started. Nothing else mattered except that moment and he was able to let go. Have fun. And be present in the moment. They were in this together.

After the shoot V and B couldn’t help but look at each other a little bit differently. After both working long hours this had made them re-connect. Holding hands. I love you notes around the house. And calls just to say hi. Sharing something so personal together had brought them closer together. And forced them to slow down and see each other again. And remember all the reasons they fell in love so long ago.

B - Ill admit, I was a little apprehensive and unsure of what to expect before the shoot, but that all went away within 5 minutes. Ewan did such an amazing job and is so talented! I had a lot of fun and now especially after seeing the results, I want to do another shoot!
Absolutely awesome experience, it has even brought V and myself closer than we thought was possible!

She knocked on the door and it opened. She nervously walked in with her bags and put them on the ground. Feet shuffling. Greetings were had and she was asked to take out all of her outfits to decide what she would wear for the shoot. She had her hair done. Her makeup done. She was ready. But she was nervous. They decided what outfits would be worn and was handed the first one. She went into the other room and changed. She thought she might be sick or maybe run away, but she was ready.

“I can do this,” she said

And then it began. She posed. She gave a shy smile and then the nerves melted away. She could see herself through someone elses eyes. She saw confidence and beauty. She saw what other people saw in her. She was a woman. She was proud. She was sexy. She was always these things, she just needed reminding.
